Weekly Muse #38: My Playlist is Awesome

Hey guys. It has been a long, long time since I have made a blog post. But when I was looking through my playlist of songs I listen to whenever I write, I realized how much it has evolved and changed. 

So here is my favorite songs I love to listen now. Top five, in no particular order. (That sounds a bit weird. But honestly, I have about a few dozen new songs to listen to.) 

Weekly Muse #37: Playlist Again

I love my playlist. I have a playlist on Youtube, and I simply love to put it on repeat. A lot of the songs come from Coldplay, One Republic, Imagine Dragons, and some indie artists. Here are my top favorites underneath the cut.

Animals most certainly inspire me in different ways. In literature, they are used as symbolism. Sometimes, they are used as familiars to narrators and especially, characters.

Weekly Muse #33: Playlist Time!

Now, I'm a hurry, because there are a bunch of things to do (a list from A to Z) and I can't quite seem to finish anything (probably because I was watching Atonement and Miss Congeniality). So I'm going to list my playlist for writing The Lost Princess' fourth/fifth draft. 

Well, technically I started the fourth draft and then abandoned it because I didn't like it at all. Then I started again and called it the fifth draft. That is how it went.

Okay, here we go. Five with comments and five without. 

1. "Outside" by Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris
My comments: I like "Outside" because I like how it sounds. It totally reminds me of "Summer" and some other hits from Calvin Harris. (Yes, it sounds similar, but it gets writing, so I don't really care.) 

2. "A Team" by Ed Sheeran 
My comments: You all think I'm nuts for liking a song that is terribly sad (to me). Yes, it is depressing, and the lyrics are horrible (in the feels), but it sounds really good. Soft. The kind of song that reminds me of a heartbreak. 

3. "Geronimo" by Sheppard 
My comments: I have no idea what the lyrics are (haven't looked it up) or what the song means, but it sounds really good. 

4. "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift
My comments: Taylor Swift? Give me, give me! 

5. "Budapest" by George Ezra 
My comments: It is one of the softer songs that picks up the tempo and just makes me dance. 

6. "Your Mess is Mine" by Vance Joy
7. "Hold Back The River" by James Bay
8. "Come a Little Closer" by Cage the Elephant
9. "Cigarette Daydreams" by Cage the Elephant
10. "L-O-V-E" by Nat King Cole

Weekly Muse #20: Teary Books

When you read a very, very sad book, don't you get inspired to write something? Like write anything? I totally do. I think I got inspired to write Benevolence after reading a book on angels. (Benevolence is about angels and demons, for your information). No! I did not write Benevolence because of Supernatural. That was before I got into Supernatural. 

So... I'm going to make a list of teary books. Books that will most definitely ignite a spark (or tear) in you. 

Weekly Muse #17: 5 Christmas Songs

In honor of Christmas, I'm going to do this list. And I'm hijacking Alex's post. Sorry, Alex, but Christmas is Christmas. And I have to do this before the week ends!

First of all, have you ever thought of writing a Christmas story/novel/poem? Well, I haven't. Because I'm sort of busy writing a novel before the year ends (good luck to me!). I know Alex is, so she is perhaps the person who should be writing this post, but I have to get this out of my head before I write my chapters of Welcome to the Dark Side. (It is YA Contemporary). 

Weekly Muse #16: So... Inspirational Authors, anyone?

Here we go! Well, we all love to read, right? And I sure love to read the occasional book. Sometimes, I might reread books only to find an inner depth and surprising meaning. (Plus, Alex Steele is currently rereading the entire Harry Potter series, so... Might as well do this!)

Weekly Muse #14: Let's Dance

Penelope Grace again. I want to talk about the songs that inspire you to move. I know that it is a bit weird, because I'm talking about songs that inspire you to move around rather than songs that inspire you to do some writing. 

But dancing always helps shake off the Writer's block, so yes, I'm going here. 

Weekly Muse #12: Romantic Songs

Hey guys! Penelope Grace, here. And don't you love romantic songs? After writing The Black Queen (which may or may not be romantic), I'm suddenly in the search of romantic songs. I hear them on the radio, read about them in newspapers, and listen to my friends babble on about this new song from Taylor Swift. I do have to agree that Sean O'Pry looks hot in her music video, "Blank Space."

Don't we all love those lovebirds? Eh... Not always, but you are sometimes moved by the very power of their love and their... Ahh... I'm getting into it now. Okay, I'll start listing, alright?

In no particular order, here goes the five fictional couples... With the most powerful and amazing love. Yes, with amazing love stories.

Weekly Muse #8: Love Songs

Penelope Grace. Again. Oh, don't moan and groan. I'm pretty sure that I'm not hideous at all. Of course, that is up to the eye of the beholder.

Love songs. I have done songs before, but this time I'm doing the songs for romance. Romance, love, whatever you call it. This is going to be about being in love and... in a dreamy state. Somewhere beautiful and magnificent. Or pining love. Unrequited love.

Really, I'm being very vague. Off the top of my head (with some little help), I'm listing love songs. Five of them.

Weekly Muse #6: Awesome Pictures of Objects

Hi! Penelope Grace, again. So this is the sixth Weekly Muse of the Grace & Steele blog. I'm going to go on and on about good pictures. Inspiring pictures. Of objects. You might think me as insane, but I like it. I like what I'm going to talk about. So ignore me all you like or view the following pictures, if you want.

It is going to be a total of four pictures. Of objects. Or things. Already, I can tell that this post is going to be more than interesting. It is weird. Straightly weird. With a lot of metaphors. I'll stop stalling.

Weekly Muse #3: Swoonworthy Male Celebs

On the first week, I did songs. Alex Steele listed quotes (and I so love the quote from The Fault in Our Stars). This week, I'm taking over again and listing the celebs from all times. Male celebs. That means I can pull up a youthful pic of some dead celeb. And list it.

Weekly Muse #1: The Inspirational Songs

Penelope here. Alright, I'm going to compose a list of all those songs that just makes you write. It might look a bit weird (especially for the first time!). These songs are in no particular order. 

1. "Cosmic Love" by Florence + the Machine.

I know, I know. I couldn't resist. "Comic Love" is just one of those songs that make you feel like you are anywhere else but here. This song is especially good for those authors writing Fantasy or Love. It is hauntingly beautiful, dark, and gritty. Plus, the way Florence sings it gives you the sugars, right? Come on! You have to agree with me on that. Anyway, this song is pure inspirational, totally Muse material. You don't need a guy to make you write (though you are more likely to be distracted if you have one).
