Our Journey So Far #5: Penelope Grace

Hey, guys! It is Penelope Grace here. Obviously. And this is our fifth "Our Journey So Far" post. I think this is perhaps my third, but I can't remember it quite correctly. The numbers are quite low.

Okay, I'll stop monologuing. It is simply too irritating to be talking amongst myself and possibly seeming insane and psychologically incapable of normal "social habits and conversation." And this is the last of it. I swear on...

The Journey So Far

Beta reading! I just send some of my chapter samplers of TLP and other works out to my friends. It is a bit awkward and weird, because you don't know what they'll say and you don't really want them to say anything bad, yet you also want them to tell you what is bad about your novel. So yes, it is complicated, but it is so exciting. FInally, you have someone else to read your novel and see the mistakes and errors you can't see. And that is good.

The Projects

The Lost Princess: I'm still working on that one. It is in editing, and I'm fixing plot and character development. It is really annoying, because I absolutely hate editing. After a lot of months working and writing on TLP, I see a bunch of errors and plot holes and I go like... Darn it. Have to work on perfection. Then I can send out query letters. I'm so close that I can taste it.

So close, but so far.

The Ascending Princess: Honestly, I've written everything in between. It is only the finale I haven't finished. I'm still working on it. Hopefully, I will be done with it, but there is just so many projects to be doing. Even worse is 2014 NaNoWriMo coming up! I totally need to finish this by then. I'm about 60 to 70 percent done with TAP, so it might or might not be a problem in the future. Especially with editing.

Steele/Grace Joint Project: Oh, yeah. We are teaming up to write a very interesting (I hope) book. It is... Well, I think we'll give out the details later. In another post. A joint post!

2014 NaNoWriMo Novel: Honestly, I feel the subject of this paragraph is sort of redundant. Anyway, I'm working on developing the idea. I already have a title, but I can't wait to get started on this. However, I have so much to do. Just look at those four paragraphs above. So much to do! So little time! But it is so exciting and awesome!

Note

I do realize that this is more like an update. But I want to let you all know that a writer's life is never easy. Don't call us lazy! And to all the other writers out there: Keep on writing!

Happy Writing!
